A Session to Celebrate the Legacy of the Eminent Emirati Poet Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais
This session is dedicated to honoring the legacy of the great Emirati poet Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais, one of the most prominent poets in the Gulf Arab region. Al Owais left a clear mark on contemporary Arabic poetry, known for his deep emotional expression and sincere portrayal of societal issues, nature, and humanity.
The session will explore how Al Owais was a part of the modern Arabic poetry movement and his impact on the development of Gulf poetry during that period. It will also highlight how the sea served as an important source of inspiration in his poetry, reflecting the relationship between humans and their environment.
This session provides a unique opportunity to learn more about a major poet who contributed to building the literary identity of both the Emirati and Gulf cultures.
